Lump - Pres. USA
Tree Hugger - Steve Poltz
School's Out - Alice Cooper (I think) -- we played that one every single year in marching band. :)

Smells Like Teen Spirit- This song was playing when I walked in to my first junior high dance. Don Lezotte was head banging up by the stage.

Freshman (verve pipe)- It came out when I was a freshman. Nuff said.

Turn The Page- Our ridiculous class song.

1. "Down with Disease" Phish - ah high school hippie love - HORDE fest was the event of the year! ah good times, good times.

2. "Seether" Veruca Salt - brand spanking new in 94 - one of the first 2 CDs I ever had. The other was Green Day.

3. "Back that A#^ up" Juvenile - Senior's song.

Don't Stop Believin'- Journey
(Our ridiculous class song)

Hair of the Dog-Nazarath
(Always played at dances)

Our Lips are Sealed-The Go-Go's

This was fun even though it made me feel really OLD! And just for the record, I don't like any of those songs, but they do remind me of high school.

I like blog participation day!!

[I'm aware it's inappropriate to converse with other commenters in a comment itself - for that, I apologize.]

Jackie - remember when we saw that "Seether" was playing at the Pontiac Arts, Eats, and Beats Festival and we thought it was Veruca Salt because they had a song called "Seether" and we just plain old screwed up?

Yeeeah, if you're ever expecting a chick musical duo to come out on-stage and instead it's a heavy-metal band, well, you're in for a rude awakening.

Takin' Care of Business - B.T.O.

Down on the Corner - C.C.R.

Evil Women - E.L.O.

Went to school back when everything was hazy, but the brownies were great! It must say something when we couldn't remember a band's name, just initials.

I think I'll head out to 7-11 now.
