here's the thing about jim. i noticed this last week. i, too, have an ever present thing for "jim." but when i tried to extend this crush to the actual actor, john krasinski, it totally didn't fly. this baffles me because krasinski has three swoon criterion off the bat: 1. he's like 6'5". (yes, i have a height specification for crushes. lol) 2. he graduated from brown with an english degree, which means he's well-read and possibly knows more than i do without even making an effort. 3. he's adapting david foster wallace for the silver screen and *starring* in the adaptation.
all uber-cool, right?
okay, but how come every single thing besides the office i've ever watched him in (jarhead, the holiday, dreamgirls) have been films he wasn't good in. granted these were all blink-and-you-missed-him parts. but still. i'm not sure he can be anyone but jim onscreen... and i'm pretty sure he's not as awesome as jim in real life.
so i have to relegate my crush to his fictional jim self and that makes him *impossible* to attain (as opposed to improbable, which is what i like to think all my celeb crushes are. simply improbable... b/c in the unlikely event we stumble into the same social circle... it is SO on).
aaaaand now that i've penned a pointless dissertation, see ya tomorrow! lol
